Crest Owners Ken Maryea and Jon Roberts recently presented a check to Martha Tighe of the Parish Cupboard, a local non profit providing meals for Agawam, Feeding Hills and West Springfield families in need. The Crest Room’s recent fund raiser, ‘Crestfast for a Cause’ resulted not only in a donation of non-perishable food items, but also over $600 in cash donations to the Parish Cupboard.

We wish to thank all the generous Crest patrons who came out to support the event, as well as the Keepers, Joe Saimeri and Richie Mitnick who provided live entertainment for the our patrons as they ate their Breakfast. Donations continue to come in and we are hopeful the generousity continues and we bring this total up even higher.

The Crest Room delivered several large boxes of non perishable items donated by Crest patrons to Lachapelle’s Community Pantry on May 16 – Do Something Good for your Neighbor Day. Mr. and Mrs. Lachappelle built a Community Pantry on King’s Highway which operates on the premise “Leave what you Can ~ Take what you need”. They have provided a way for the West Side community to take care of their own.

Thank you to all the generous Crest patrons who donated for the past several weeks and to the Lachappelle’s for building and sharing this Community pantry for all of West Side to benefit from.

Rays Of Hope
The Crest Room proudly presented Michelle Graci from Rays of Hope a check for $2,350.00 from their multi-day fundraiser. The majority of the funds came from a two day dining event with a percentage of proceeds benefiting the Rays of Hope. The Crest Room also sold Pink Crest Room T-shirt, from Andre’s West Side Sport Shop, with 100% of the proceeds being donated. While this event was ongoing it caught the attention of local business and the City of West Springfield.

Thank you to all the local business owners who stepped up with very generous financial donations to help with this fundraiser.

Thank You Rays of Hope for all that you do…
Phil Roberts, General Manager at The Crest Room

Phil was born and raised here in West Side and actually got his start in the restaurant industry when he was 16 years old, busing tables at the Storrowton Tavern.

He attended Holyoke Community College and UMASS, graduating from the Eisenberg School of Management with a degree in Hospitality Management. Simultaneously, Phil worked his way up to Food and Beverage Manager at the MassMutual Center. He later moved on to become the youngest General Manager for a large regional restaurant chain.

Phil has worked in the Food and Beverage industry for over 12 years in every capacity from washing dishes, to prepping and delivering riders for celebrities, to managing large restaurants. Phil’s personal belief is that no workplace can succeed without teamwork and he tries to instill that principle into the entire staff at The Crest Room.
